COLUMBUS, Ohio — A juvenile was injured when they were struck by a vehicle Friday night in southeast Columbus, according to police.
Just before 11:10 p.m., a pedestrian, who police are describing as a juvenile, was attempting to cross Refugee Road, west of Tennyson Boulevard, outside of a marked crosswalk.
Police said the juvenile was on the north side of the roadway when they walked out into the road. The juvenile was hit by a Volkswagen before reaching the other side.
The driver of the Volkswagen did not stop and continued westbound on Refugee.
Medics transported the juvenile to Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where police describe their condition as stable.
