Bicyclist dies after being struck by vehicle in northeast Columbus

The crash happened near the intersection of Stelzer and Morse roads.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A bicyclist is dead after being hit by a vehicle in northeast Columbus Tuesday night.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, officers received a call at 6:34 p.m. for a report of a bicyclist hit by a vehicle near the intersection of Morse and Stelzer roads, just north of Easton. The bicyclist was pronounced dead a short time later.

The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene.

Police said the area will be shut down for a couple of hours.
