COLUMBUS, Ohio — Six people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in east Columbus Friday night, police said.
Around 10:30 p.m., officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called to the ramp from Alum Creek Drive and Interstate 70 eastbound on a report of a crash.
Police said the driver of a red Chrysler was traveling on the entrance ramp to I-70 eastbound from Alum Creek with an adult passenger in the front seat and three juveniles in the back seat.
At the same time, the driver of a blue Honda was traveling on the exit ramp from I-70 eastbound to Alum Creek when the Honda left the road, crossed the grassy area between the exit and entrance ramp and hit the Chrysler head-on.
All six people involved were transported to nearby hospitals. Police described the driver of the Honda’s condition as life-threatening.
A dispatcher for the city’s public safety department told 10TV the ramp was shut down as authorities investigated, but it has since reopened.
The crash remains under investigation.
