COLUMBUS, Ohio — Two people are seriously injured after a crash on the city's northeast side early Saturday morning, according to the Columbus Division of Police.
Officers were called to Interstate 71 and East 17th Avenue around 3:46 a.m. on reports of a crash. Police say one person was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital and another was taken to Grant Medical Center, both in critical condition.
I-71 northbound was closed from the scene of the crash to Interstate 670 while crews cleaned up - it has since reopened. It is unclear what caused the crash.
Columbus Police's Accident Investigation Unit is investigating the crash.
