COLUMBUS, Ohio — Two people were injured in a shooting early Sunday morning on Interstate 71 on the city's north side, according to the Columbus Division of Police.
Officers were called to I-71 southbound and East 11th Avenue just after 2:15 a.m. on reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victims were taken to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Grant Medical Center, where police describe their conditions as "stable."
I-71 southbound was closed from Interstate 270 for four hours as authorities investigated, but the road has since reopened.
It is unclear what led up to the shooting. No suspect information was made immediately available.
