Police ID victim killed in crash near John Glenn International Airport as a 41-year-old woman

Police told 10TV the crash involved two vehicles, a Land Rover LR4 and a Chevrolet Venture.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Division of Police has identified the person killed in a northeast Columbus crash Saturday morning as a 41-year-old woman.

Officers were called to the intersection of Sawyer and North Hamilton roads, near John Glenn Columbus International Airport, just before 7 a.m. on reports of a crash.

Police told 10TV the crash involved two vehicles, a Land Rover LR4 and a Chevrolet Venture.

According to police, the Chevrolet was heading northbound when it became disabled in the right lane at the intersection. At the same time, a Land Rover heading in the same direction struck the back of the Chevrolet.

Dalia De Los Angele Rodriguez, the driver of the Chevrolet, was pronounced dead on the scene. Police said no one else was injured.

North Hamilton Road was closed at I-270 and Sawyer Road was closed to Airport Drive for several hours as officers investigated. The roads have since reopened.
