Police: Woman killed, 2 injured in crash on I-270 in southeast Columbus

Page was using the turnaround area to go northbound on I-270, police said.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A 30-year-old woman was killed and two people were injured in a crash on Interstate 270 in southeast Columbus early Sunday morning.

The crash happened just before 2:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-270, south of Interstate 70.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, 30-year-old Taquajah Page was driving a Mazda 6 in the right lane and had attempted to turn left into the emergency turnaround when she was hit by a vehicle driving in the left lane.

Page was using the turnaround area to go northbound on I-270, police said.

First responders pronounced Page dead at 2:37 a.m.

The other vehicle's driver was unhurt, but two passengers of the other vehicle were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. Police said they are expected to survive their injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
