A warrant has been issued for Duron Thomas Sr., according to police.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Division of Police identified a suspect in a shooting that left one man dead and another person injured on the city's west side Sunday night.

According to Franklin County Municipal Court documents, officers were dispatched to Charley's Place on Glenwood Avenue for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found two people had been shot.

Medics pronounced a man, identified as Jacob Coons, dead at the scene at 1:50 a.m. Another person was taken to Grant Medical Center, where police described their condition as stable.

According to court records, witnesses say Coons and 32-year-old Duron Thomas Sr. got into a fight during a game of pool. After the two were separated, records say Thomas pulled out a gun and fired it multiple times, striking Coons and the second person.

A warrant has been issued for Thomas' arrest, according to police. He has been charged with murder.
