Plane hits bird during takeoff, flight halted at John Glenn Columbus International Airport

An American Airline flight bound for Philadelphia from Columbus never got in the air Tuesday evening.

Flight number 4675 was set to leave Columbus at 6:05 p.m. but never got off the ground according to Connie Tracy, a spokesperson for John Glenn Columbus International airport said.

A bird struck the plane during takeoff and pilots stopped the plane from leaving the ground.

Tracy called it a routine situation.
