Columbus man killed in 2-vehicle Pike County crash

The crash happened on state Route 220 near Progress Drive in Seal Township around 11 p.m.

PIKE COUNTY, Ohio — A Columbus man is dead, and a woman was injured following a two-vehicle crash in Pike County on Tuesday, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened on state Route 220 near Progress Drive in Seal Township around 11 p.m. 

Anthony Hobbs, 52, was driving a 2005 Nissan Altima north on state Route 220. After driving off the right side of the road, Hobb lost control of his vehicle.

Hobbs traveled left of center and struck a 2007 Ford Taurus heading south on the road.

OSHP said Hobbs was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Taurus was taken to Adena-Pike Medical Center and then Grant Medical Center to be treated for injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
