PICKERINGTON, Ohio – The organizers of the Picktown Palooza festival in Pickerington were forced to scramble an entire carnival to a new location after flash flooding consumed Victory Park, where the fair was first staged.
After heavy rains Thursday, the games, rides, and food vendors were all in knee-deep water.
Workers were able to move the entire festival two streets away to an area that is typically home to a Farmer’s Market.
The sun was shining and everything ready to go when the festival opened Saturday afternoon, with rides, food, games, and music.
The festival plans to run until 10 p.m. Saturday, and will reopen again on Sunday.
