COLUMBUS, Ohio — A person riding a scooter was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in the University District Wednesday evening, police say.
Officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called to North High Street and East Woodruff Avenue, located near The Ohio State University, shortly after 9:20 p.m.
Police say one person was taken to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in critical condition.
Police say it appears the driver stayed at the scene.
