COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person passed away three months after a shooting in the Hilltop area on February 11.
Columbus police were called to the 600 block of Wiltshire Road around 10:30 p.m. on a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle that struck a tree nearby with the victim inside suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was taken to Grant Medical Center. He died three months later on May 19, according to police. The Franklin County Coroner ruled on June 22 that the death was a direct result of the injuries sustained during this incident.
Investigators are still working to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident.
Police did not provide any suspect information.
