COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Pennsylvania man is charged after allegedly sexually exploiting a minor from Ohio who he met online.
United States Attorney Kenneth Parker's office said 30-year-old Dustin Combs, of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, allegedly traveled to central Ohio on numerous occasions to engage in sex acts with a 13-year-old girl.
He was arrested in Pennsylvania and arraigned in federal court in Columbus on Friday.
According to the 10-count indictment, for at least 10 months, Combs sexually exploited the minor victim by producing child sexual abuse images that depicted the victim and filmed their sex acts at various locations.
It is alleged that Combs traveled to Ohio on at least five occasions in July, October and November 2023 and April 2024 to engage in acts with the victim.
A grand jury charged him with sexually exploiting a minor and traveling interstate to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor.
Sexual exploitation of a minor is punishable by a mandatory minimum of 15 years and up to 30 years in prison, Parker's office said. Traveling with the intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor is a federal crime that carries a potential penalty of up to 30 years in prison.
