Pedestrian killed in Jackson Township hit-and-run

The vehicle, reportedly described as gray with front-end damage to the passenger side and a busted headlight, left the scene.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ohio — A person is dead after being hit by a vehicle in Jackson Township Sunday evening. 

According to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, a person was walking east on Dyer Road, west of state route 104 just after 6:30 p.m. when they were hit by an unknown vehicle. 

The vehicle, reportedly described as gray with front-end damage to the passenger side and a busted headlight, left the scene.

The pedestrian was taken to Grant Medical Center where they died.
