MARYSVILLE, Ohio — One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash on state Route 31 in Union County Friday afternoon, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers were dispatched to route 31 near state Route 347 around 2:25 p.m. on reports of a crash. A preliminary investigation revealed that a Chevrolet Malibu and an International Prostar were both traveling on route 31 when the Chevrolet, which was traveling northbound, crossed the center line and struck the International head-on. The driver of the Chevrolet then drove off the left side of the road, hitting a guardrail.
The driver of the Chevrolet was taken to Union County Memorial Hospital and was later transferred to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the International was uninjured.
The crash remains under investigation.
