One person is at the hospital after a Gahanna Police spokesperson told 10TV that person hit a Gahanna Police cruiser on I-270 Tuesday night.
Police said a Gahanna officer was helping a driver who crashed a vehicle near Hamilton Road around 10:30 p.m. That driver was not hurt.
While the officer was helping the driver, the spokesperson said another driver hit the police cruiser. The officer is OK but the second driver was taken to the hospital.
The southbound lanes of I-270 near Hamilton Road were closed following the crash.
At around 11:15 p.m., two lanes of I-270 were opened.
The incident is under investigation.
