MADISON COUNTY, Ohio - One man is dead after a motorcycle accident in Madison County on Thursday.
Ohio State Highway Patrol says 48-year-old Anthony Cortez Williams, of Belleville, Illinois, died after he failed to negotiate a curve on Spring Valley Road, north of SR-142 in Deer Creek Township.
Investigators say Williams drove his motorcycle off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole.
The accident happened around 8:18 p.m. on July 4th.
Alcohol and drugs are not considered a factor in the accident but Williams was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to OSHP.
The crash remains under investigation.
