One juvenile killed in single-car crash in Pike County

One juvenile was killed in a single-car crash in Seal Township in Pike County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

PIKE COUNTY- One juvenile was killed in a single-car crash in Seal Township in Pike County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

It happened just before 3 p.m. on Monday. Troopers say a 22-year-old man was driving a 2006 Kia Sorento with two passengers, one of which was a juvenile.

The vehicle was traveling northwest on State Route 220 near Marcus Run Road when it traveled off the left side of the roadway hitting a tree overturning landing in a creek, according to OSHP.

The two passengers were flown to Ohio State University Wexner Medical center. Both were expected to be OK. The juvenile, who troopers have not named, died at the scene.

Troopers have not said what caused the crash. It remains under investigation.
