COLUMBUS, Ohio — A fire broke out at an oil refinery company in east Columbus Tuesday night.
The fire was reported just after 8 p.m. at GFL Environmental on East 5th Avenue across from Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. The fire was put out around 10:10 p.m.
Columbus Fire Battalion Chief Jeffery Geitter said crews worked to keep other surrounding tanks cool to keep the fire from spreading. Hazmat crews also responded to the scene.
There's no word on what caused the fire.
