CLEVELAND (WKYC) — Star Wars fans in northeast Ohio may never realize their dreams of flying in the Millenium Falcon, but now they can take a trip in the next best thing.
Back in October, United released a plane not in its typical livery, but instead painted all black with a light-saber on the tail of the aircraft and the Star Wars logo in the back. The 737-800 aircraft design is meant as an advertising tool for the latest Star Wars movie "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker."
The special plane landed at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport Thursday, as despite its unique appearance it is still part of the airline's regular fleet (you can track its whereabouts here). Staff at the facility were able to snap a few fun photos with the aircraft.
Passengers are also treated to a special Star Wars-themed safety video as they "Fly the Friendly Galexy," and can also use reward points to purchase tickets to the movie.
