MIAMI COUNTY, Ohio — An Ohio State Highway Patrol Motor Carrier Enforcement Inspector has died following a crash in Miami County.
It happened at around 6:47 a.m. Wednesday on I-75 in Troy, Ohio.
OSHP says MCEI Kimra J. Skelton, 49, was on-duty and parked in a crossover when her patrol vehicle was struck by a Ford F-250 that was traveling northbound and had traveled off the left side of the road.
The driver of the Ford sustained minor injuries and was taken to Kettering Medical Center.
Skelton had been a member of the Patrol since October 2005. OSHP says she is survived by her husband and two children.
The crash remains under investigation.
