Ohio moves up distribution of food stamp benefits for February

No SNAP benefits will be issued in the month of February due to the government shutdown.

The State of Ohio SNAP benefits will be added to customers’ EBT cards for the month of February before the end of January.

The Franklin County Dept. of Jobs and Family Services said the assistance will load onto the cards earlier than normal so it will appear recipients have higher balances for January than usual.

No SNAP benefits will be issued in the month of February due to the government shutdown.

Officials are encouraging recipients to budget their SNAP benefits to ensure the amount received provides for their food needs through the entire month of February.

The Franklin County Dept. of Jobs and Family Services has created a page on their website to provide updated information at jfs.franklincountyohio.gov.
