FULTON COUNTY, OHIO, Ohio — A father and daughter were killed in a house explosion early Thursday in northwestern Ohio, authorities said.
It was not clear what caused the blast, which occurred around 5:30 a.m. in Wauseon, located in Fulton County, and also injured two other people. The explosion sent smoke spewing from the home and large amounts of debris were spread across the front yard.
10TV's sister station WTOL reports that the victims are a family of four, according to the brother of one of the victims.
A mother and son are hospitalized with injuries. It is unclear at the time what their conditions may be.
"It's maybe the third one I've been on in 24 years," Delta Fire Chief Jeremy Gillen said. "It's just one of those unfortunate, tragic accidents, I guess."
Wauseon is about 43 miles west of Toledo, near the Michigan border.
