Ohio to prohibit rides, games, grandstand events at all county fairs

Fairs will be limited to junior fair events only starting on or after Friday, July 31.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The state will prohibit rides, games, and grandstand events at fairs going forward to keep crowds down during pandemic. 

Governor Mike DeWine made the announcement Tuesday during his coronavirus briefing.

Fairs will be limited to junior fair events only starting on or after Friday, July 31. Those events include: livestock competitions and other 4-H and FFA competitions for kids and teens.
