CLEVELAND — Firefighters rescued and revived a dog after a fire broke out in a home in Cleveland last week.

According to a social media post by the Cleveland Division of Fire, firefighters responded to an occupied house fire near the intersection of West 56th Street and Field Avenue on March 14. All residents were able to get out of the house.

The division posted photos and a video showing medics administering oxygen to the dog, which was revived by medics on scene and handed over Cleveland Animal Care & Control until its owners can be contacted.

Firefighters said the fire caused an estimated total of $75,000 in damages.

The fire was determined to have been an accident as a result of an electrical issue.
