CANTON, Ohio — The Cleveland Browns and New York Jets will play in Canton for the NFL's 2023 Hall of Fame Game.
Browns legendary left tackle Joe Thomas and Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis are among nine inductees heading into the hall of fame this year.
The game will be held at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium on Aug. 3 at 8 p.m. to begin Enshrinement Week.
Both Thomas and Revis were first-round draft picks in the 2007 draft.
Thomas played his entire career with Cleveland and was often the lone bright spot for the team. The Wisconsin native was voted to 10 Pro Bowls, six first-team All-Pro selections and two second-team All-Pro selections during his 11 seasons.
Despite his undisputed greatness, the Browns never made the playoffs during Thomas' 11-year career.
Revis, who also played 11 seasons, spent the first six years with the Jets before spending a year each with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots. Revis returned to New York for two more years and his final season with the Kansas City Chiefs before retiring.
The cornerback won a Super Bowl with the Patriots in 2015 and was named to seven Pro Bowls and four first-team All-Pros.
Cleveland has not played in the Hall of Fame Game since 1999 and New York hasn't since 1992.
The Hall of Fame ceremony is scheduled to be held Aug. 5.
