Sheriff: 3 inmates back in custody after escaping from Warren County correctional facility

The escape from the facility, which is located on state Route 62 in Turtlecreek Township, happened around 9:10 p.m. on Friday.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Three inmates are back in custody after escaping from the Warren County Community Correctional Center Friday evening, according to the sheriff’s office.

The escape from the facility, which is located on state Route 62 in Turtlecreek Township, happened around 9:10 p.m. on Friday. Staff at the jail reported that 26-year-old Isaiah Youngblood, 28-year-old Terry Akers and 45-year-old Shaun Birgel escaped from a fenced area of the facility.

Akers and Birgel were both located by Middletown police officers shortly after the escape and taken back into custody. Youngblood was caught and is back in custody on Saturday.
