COLUMBUS, Ohio — A bomb threat to the Ohio Statehouse prompted a response from the Ohio State Highway Patrol and other agencies on Monday.
Around 8:45 a.m., officials were notified of an emailed bomb threat to the Statehouse. The threat was forwarded to OSHP.
Troopers conducted a thorough search of the facility with the help of other agencies and explosive-detecting K-9s. Investigators determined that the threat was not credible and that the area was safe.
Lt. Ray Santiago told 10TV that the building was on lockdown.
Additional information was not immediately available.
The incident remains under investigation.
