MARION - The Marion Post with the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a crash at State Route 98 and Patton Pike in Claridon Township Marion County.
It happened just after 4:30 p.m. Friday.
The crash involved a Dodge Ram truck and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
James Beatty, 83, of Cardington was driving the Dodge Ram truck east on Patton Pike when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of SR 98 and hit the motorcycle.
Justin Woodard, 35, of Cardington was driving south on SR 98 when his motorcycle collided on the driver's side door of the Dodge Ram truck.
According to OSHP, Woodard and his passenger Lori Cassady, 52, of Cardington were not wearing helmets and were ejected from the motorcycle.
The Marion County Coroner pronounced Woodard dead on the scene. Cassady died after being transported to the Marion General Hospital.
Beatty was sent to the Ohio State University Medical Center by Med Flight.
Alcohol was not a suspected factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
