COLUMBUS, Ohio - Officials with the Ohio State Fair have announced that the annual event had an increase of nearly 3 percent more visitor from 2018.
The estimate from fair officials said it attracted 934,925 visitors through the gates between July 24 and August 4.
“This year’s weather was absolutely beautiful, and hundreds of thousands of Ohioans turned out to celebrate our great state and experience all that the Fair has to offer. Some of the most popular aspects each year are the animals, education, food, art and rides,” said General Manager Virgil Strickler.
The annual Ohio State Fair celebrates agriculture; the state’s largest industry and various traditions including the famed butter cow and calf, the unique eight-acre Natural Resources Park, and one of the largest youth livestock shows in the nation.
“We are so thankful for the many people who worked hard all year long to make this a great fair," Strickler said.
The 2020 Ohio State Fair is scheduled for July 29 to August 9.
