COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State basketball player Seth Towns was briefly detained by police during a downtown protest Friday night.
Towns was never arrested.
Towns released a statement on social media saying, “In a span of just 24 hours, I walked across a Harvard virtual graduation stage into the back of police van alongside other peaceful protestors—both of which I am equally proud of.”
Towns has a great interest in social issues, graduating from Harvard with a degree in sociology.
He joined the Ohio State program this offseason as a grad transfer with two years of eligibility remaining.
