COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Guernsey County man was given a 30-year prison sentence for recording sexually explicit videos of teenagers with hidden cameras, U.S. Attorney Kenneth Parker’s office announced Tuesday.
Mark Green, 56, was sentenced in U.S. District Court for sexually exploiting minors and possessing child sexual abuse material.
According to a complaint, Green admitted to downloading images depicting child sexual abuse and installing hidden cameras in his house, specifically the master bedroom and two bathrooms.
Court documents say Green used those security cameras that connected to his cellphone to record a teen boy and girl in 2022.
According to Parker’s office, Green either watched the recordings live or played them back later through the Blink security app.
Authorities took approximately 60 devices from Green’s home and vehicles. He had more than 10,000 images and videos of child sexual abuse material, Parker's office said.
Authorities were able to identify hundreds of additional hidden camera videos and images with timestamps dating back to 2012.
The images show girls in bathrooms and bedrooms in a prior residence.
The investigation revealed that he created sexually explicit videos of at least nine girls. Two victims indicated that Green previously sexually abused them in person.
He was charged federally in May 2023 and pleaded guilty in January 2024 to exploiting a minor and possessing child sexual abuse material.
