GROVE CITY, Ohio — An AMBER Alert was canceled Saturday afternoon after a teenage girl who was believed to be taken by her 17-year-old boyfriend was found safe, according to the Grove City Division of Police.
Authorities said the 15-year-old girl was last seen on Independence Way around 11:30 p.m. on Friday. The suspect, Jeffery Gimenez, is in custody. Police say he is wanted for robbery out of Pickaway County.
It's unclear at this time where they were found.
Authorities say Gimenez has previous robbery and felony warrants for kidnapping in the past. He was last seen on social media Friday with a gun making statements that he "has a bullet" for the victim.
Grove City police said a stolen vehicle was recovered in the area of Sullivant Avenue in Columbus and it is believed to be connected with the case.
"The Grove City Division of Police would like to thank the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, Columbus Police, and all our law enforcement and media partners for assisting with a safe resolution," Grove City Police Lt. Jason Stern said.
