Ohio's campgrounds can officially reopen starting May 21.
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources says they have been at work getting the facilities ready for visitors.
Before you head out to the great outdoors, there are some things you need to know.
A reservation will be required. Only campers who reserved space will be allowed to camp.
No walk-in campsites will be offered.
Only one family household may occupy a campsite.
Restrooms and shower houses will also be limited.
Other overnight accommodations and amenities, such as cabins, getaway rentals, group camps, shelters, camp stores, pools, and splash pads, will remain closed.
The agency urges visitors to bring everything they need for their trip.
Susie Vance with ODNR says to be mindful of your health even when you're outside.
"Even in outdoor settings and you're out and about and got plenty of space, it is still important to be conscious about {your health}," Vance said. "If you're not feeling well, stay home."
Visitors are asked to practice safe social distancing and follow the standard of good hygiene, which includes washing your hands and sanitizing.
Guests may be asked to leave if they don't follow COVID-19 guidelines.
