COLUMBUS, Ohio — A man and a woman were killed in an apparent murder-suicide in northeast Columbus late Monday night, police said.
The incident happened at a home in the 5900 block of Pine Rise Court near Cooper Road around 11:15 p.m. Police said officers were called to the house on reports of domestic violence and a shooting.
Officers found a man, 31-year-old Kristian Hives, unresponsive in the backyard and a woman, 41-year-old Nicole Pannell, unresponsive inside the home. Pannell was pronounced dead at 11:32 p.m. and the man was pronounced dead at 11:31 p.m.
Investigators say all indications lead them to believe that the man shot Pannell before shooting himself. Police did not describe the relationship between the man and Pannell.
