Pedestrian critically injured in north Columbus hit-and-run crash

Police said a black Cadillac Escalade pulled out from the Super 8 motel heading west on Mediterranean Avenue when it ran over the pedestrian.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A pedestrian was critically injured when they were struck by a vehicle in north Columbus Sunday evening, police said.

Around 10:30 p.m. a pedestrian, who police described as an adult, was found lying in the 1000 block of Mediterranean Avenue at Boardwalk Street.

Police said a black Cadillac Escalade pulled out from the Super 8 motel heading west on Mediterranean Avenue when it ran over the pedestrian. The vehicle did not stop and continued heading west.  

The pedestrian was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital in critical condition.
