People on Nextdoor seem a little disappointed Governor Mike DeWine did not release any new mandates Wednesday night during his address to the state of Ohio.

Nearly half of the voters (47%) said they felt the governor should have issued statewide mask mandates and rolled back reopening.
Michael from the Westgate neighborhood was one person who commented.
“They did it during the 1918 pandemic so I don't know why people are so resistant now,” he said. “No one has a problem covering their private parts - this is just a new community standard of dress."
Debra who lives in Deshler Park is one of the 33% of people who voted for just the face covering mandate.
“As an 'elder' with minor COPD, it's hard for me to wear a mask for very long, but I do it to protect myself and others,” she wrote.
There are others who felt the current safety healthy alert system as outlined by the Governor last week is working without any new mandates needed.
“I like the state’s current reaction to the varied risk levels in each county,” says Terrie who lives in the Central Hilltop neighborhood. "It makes sense to me that counties should be treated differently based on the level of threat in each county."
