Large-scale comprehensive health care is coming to Columbus' southern suburbs.
Mount Carmel Grove City opens April 28.
The $361 million hospital has 210 beds with all private rooms. It has a comprehensive cancer center, invasive cardiac and high-complex neuroscience services and a level III newborn intensive care unit.
Mount Carmel took input from 250 medical professionals and patients in the design process.
“This is the hospital of the future from the standpoint of building this through the patient’s eyes,” said Mount Carmel Grove City President Sean McKibben.
Mount Carmel Grove City will also be a teaching hospital.
