OSHP: Motorcyclist dies in 2-vehicle crash after driver runs stop sign in Marion County

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at the intersection of Gooding and Bethlehem roads around 5:30 a.m.

MARION COUNTY, OHIO, Ohio — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Marion County on Monday.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at the intersection of Gooding and Bethlehem roads around 5:30 a.m.

OSHP says 48-year-old Robert Daso, of Marion, was traveling south on Gooding Road on a 1995 Kawasaki motorcycle while the driver of a Honda Civic was traveling east on Bethlehem Road.

The driver of the Honda reportedly ran a stop sign at the intersection and Daso crashed into the Honda. Daso was pronounced dead at the scene, according to OSHP.

The Honda driver was taken to Marion General Hospital for possible injuries and later released.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
