FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Ohio — A motorcyclist was killed in a head-on crash on U.S. 22 in Fairfield County on Monday.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at U.S. 22 and Amanda Northern Road around 3:37 p.m.
A 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander was traveling west on U.S. 22 while a motorcycle, operated by Jared Ross, was traveling in the east bound lanes.
OSHP says the driver of the Mitsubishi crossed the center line and struck the motorcycle head-on. Ross was ejected from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene.
OSHP did not say if the driver of the Mitsubishi was injured.
The crash is under investigation.
