OSHP: 1 killed, 3 injured in Morrow County crash; alcohol suspected factor

COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person was killed and three others were injured in a crash early Sunday in Morrow County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a Nissan Altima was heading westbound on state Route 95 in Franklin Township just before 4 a.m. when the driver went left of center and hit a Honda Civic head-on.

The Nissan had three people inside at the time of the crash and the Honda only had the driver inside.

The driver of the Nissan was taken to Marion General Hospital with minor injuries. OSHP says one of the passengers, 27-year-old Sandeep Yadav, was pronounced dead at the scene by medics.

The other passenger in the Nissan sustained serious injuries and was taken to OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.

The driver of the Honda was taken to Morrow County Hospital with minor injuries.

According to OSHP, alcohol is a suspected factor in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
