Former 10TV meteorologist Mike Davis will serve his prison sentence for child pornography charges at a facility in Lorain County.
Davis was assigned to Grafton Correctional Institution.
He was sentenced to a minimum of four years in prison in May.
At the sentencing hearing, he apologized to his friends and family and said there was "no excuse" for his compulsive collection of close to 16,000 images of children being sexually abused.
Prosecutors said he downloaded the images and e-mail them to himself.
He pleaded guilty in January to four counts of pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor and initially faced between 25 to 29.5 years in prison.
