Columbus man killed in Marion County crash on Christmas Day

OSHP said the driver was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.

MARION COUNTY, OHIO, Ohio — A 40-year-old Columbus man was killed in a crash in Marion County on Christmas Day, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

OSHP said Connor Martin, of Columbus, was traveling southbound on state Route 423 just before 9:35 a.m. when his vehicle traveled left of the centerline and off the left side of the road.

Once off-road, his vehicle struck a road sign and a ditch and then a tree and overturned onto its top. Martin was ejected from the Lexus.

Martin was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Marion County Coroner. OSHP said the driver was not wearing his seatbelt during the crash.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Pleasant Township Fire Department assisted troopers at the scene.
