Deaths of man, woman found at Reynoldsburg home being investigated as a murder-suicide

Sada and Tika Dhimal were found dead at their home on Robbins Loop Drive near Taylor Road.

REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio — The deaths of two people found at a home in Reynoldsburg Wednesday morning are being investigated as a murder-suicide.

A neighbor called 911 just after 8:30 a.m. to report someone possibly dead in the backyard of a home on Robbins Loop Drive near Taylor Road.

When officers arrived at the home, they found 50-year-old Sada Dhimal out back, according to an updated release issued Thursday by the Reynoldsburg Division of Police.

Officers entered the house through the front door, which they said was left partially open. Police said 40-year-old Tika Dhima was found dead inside "from penetrating trauma" to her body.

While additional information on the incident was not immediately provided, police said there is no ongoing threat to the community.

“The area is really safe. You have working-class families in that area, very little crime in that area, so it's very unusual for something like this to occur," Reynoldsburg Police Chief Curtis Baker said on Wednesday.

This would be the first homicide of the year for Reynoldsburg.

“At this time, we don’t have any concerns of additional violence to the neighborhood, we’re just unable to make any conclusions at this time, till we are further down the road," said Baker.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is assisting with the investigation.
