Man wanted for two New York City homicides arrested in Columbus

A man wanted for the shooting deaths of two people in New York City was arrested Friday morning in Columbus, according to to the U.S. Marshals Service.

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A man wanted for the shooting deaths of two people in New York City was arrested Friday morning in Columbus, according to to the U.S. Marshals Service.

U.S. Marshals arrested Harry Behlin, 47, around 9 a.m. at a home on Morrison Avenue near Franklin Avenue.

Behlin was wanted in connection with the homicides of 17-year-old Arnelle Branch and 21-year-old Kevin Dillard.

The U.S. Marshals Service said the victims were killed in August of 2019 in the Bronx.

Behlin was arrested at the home after U.S. Marshals with the New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force told U.S. Marshals in Ohio he may be able to be found there.

Behlin is being held at the Franklin County Jail, while awaiting extradition back to New York City.
