Man pleads guilty to execution-style murders of 4 in north Columbus

Robert Lee Adams pleaded guilty Tuesday to aggravated murder charges for the execution-style killings of four people at a home on Hudson Street in June 2015.

COLUMBUS - Robert Lee Adams pleaded guilty Tuesday to aggravated murder charges for the execution-style killings of four people at a home on Hudson Street in June 2015.

Prosecutors and Adams' defense attorneys agreed to a sentence of life behind bars with no possibility of parole. His official sentencing hearing is set for Thursday.

A teenage girl, the only survivor of the mass shooting, wept in court as Adams learned his fate.

"You're a snake. You have no heart....I hope you die a horrible death....I'm glad I'm the person who ended your life," she said.

Adams was originally charged with four counts of murder, five counts of aggravated robbery, five counts of kidnapping and one count of felonious assault.

He was accused of gunning down 35-year-old Angela D. Harrison, 18-year-old Tyajah Nelson, 26-year-old Daniel Sharp and 41-year-old Michael Ballour in a basement home on East Hudson Street.

A 15-year-old victim who survived the attack identified the killer as Adams. The victim was grazed by a bullet when Adams thought the victim was dead.

Jordyn Wade was sentenced to life in prison for his role in the murders.
