ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — An 84-year-old Chillicothe man is dead and a woman was injured following a single-vehicle crash in Ross County Saturday evening, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 7:15 p.m. on Wilson Run Road near Back Hollow Road in Franklin Township.
OSHP says a Chevrolet Malibu with two occupants was traveling northwest when it went off the side of the road and hit a pole.
The front seat passenger, Willard Tackett Sr., was taken to Adena Pike Medical Center where he later died. The driver sustained minor injuries in the crash but refused medical treatment at the scene, according to OSHP.
The crash remains under investigation.
