Man killed at north Columbus car wash identified

The employee has been identified as 35-year-old Daniel Boucher.

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Columbus police identified a 35-year old man who was killed as a result of an accident at a north Columbus car wash.

According to Columbus Division of Fire, they received a call at 12:27 p.m. Monday saying a man was trapped inside machinery at the business, located at 4881 Sinclair Road.

A 911 call from the car wash said an employee, later identified as Daniel Boucher, was found unresponsive and may have been electrocuted.

Another caller said Boucher was working on a piece of equipment and got stuck in the machinery.

First responders pronounced Boucher shortly after arriving on the scene. The homicide unit said it found the death to be accidental.

Columbus police and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) are still investigating the incident.
