Man killed in northeast Columbus shooting

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A man is dead after being shot in northeast Columbus Wednesday night.

Police said the shooting happened at an apartment complex in the 1700 block of Shanley Drive near Dresden Street just before 7:45 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found 19-year-old Shandese Brunner with a gunshot wound.

Brunner was taken to Riverside Medical Center where he died just after 9 p.m.

Police say a man and woman came forward and said they had arranged to meet with Brunner to make a private party sale. An altercation took place during the sale and Brunner was shot.

It's not known if these two people are facing charges in connection with Brunner's death.

This is the 166th homicide in the city of Columbus this year.
